A logbook of learning sessions.
Made a little card chute for the skittle to fall down, and attached it to a servo motor which rotates it in 45 deg increments to match the 5 colour buckets it'll fall into.
Improved the design of the skittle conveyer belt, and digitized it to the correct dimensions in mm using affinity designer. The pivot point was a joy moment!
A mini prototype of a conveyer belt that catches the skittle, and moves it to two positions along a platform with the help of a servo motor.
Learned how to wire up the tiny OLED screen. I displayed a custom image of a skittle, with a colour label below it that cycles through the colours.
Exploring how the colour sensor works under the hood: Light intensity values collected from the photodiodes, which are then averaged out and normalised to RGB.
Recap of skittle robot progress to date, including where the idea came from, the first paper prototype and a first attempt at a 3D model for the hopper (the cube-shaped head funnel).
