Heirloom Crochet Blanket
In Progress

A once-in-a-lifetime heirloom crochet blanket, or in this case a twice-in-a-lifetime as the first one was a gift. This time, I'm choosing my own colour palette for this Sophie's Universe blanket pattern, and am SO excited to see the result of the vibrant colours popping out of an onyx background.

Geometry By Construction
In Progress

I'm learning practical geometry skills to help me be able to accurately design and sketch pattern pieces for robots. For example, I'm currently building a skittle sorting robot and not sure how to sketch out the 2D pattern pieces for the pyramid-shaped funnel. I don't have to go all in and learn the foundations properly, but for some reason that's what my brain wants.

Gouache dino sketchbook
In Progress

I picked up a 44-paged tiny square watercolour sketchbook, where the purpose is to explore the painting medium gouache through painting dinosaurs. The purpose is to improve my gouache skills on each new page. At the end of the sketchbook, I'll produce a final piece of art which incorporates all of the learnings through while filling up this mini sketchbook. Materials: Himi Gouache palette, 4 inch square hot press 300gsm sketchbook, Windsor & Newton Series 7 #2 paintbrush (I love it I love it), a ceramic palette and water cups.

These are standalone journal entries that aren't associate with any specific project. Usually just for fun rabbit holes of happiness and rainbows.

Webflow Project Journal
In Progress

Aiming to create a journal style blog which prioritises showing the behind-the-scenes process of project builds during each work session. I've been using LinkedIn for this, but wanted all entries for a single project to be found in one place.

Skittle Sorting Robot
In Progress

While listening to the CEO of Lyro Robotics, Nicole Robinson talk about how her robots help farmers pick & pack fruits and veggies, I was impressed by how they can handle so many different shapes and sizes, without damaging the produce with the hard metal fingers. It made me want to make a toy model version, that can sort skittles by their colour.
